The working principle of the self-priming pump mainly depends on the high-speed rotation of the impeller. When the pump is started, the impeller rotates to create negative pressure, which draws air into the suction line and eventually draws liquid into the pump. The design of the self-priming pump allows it to pump the liquid from a lower position to the desired height without the need for an external water diversion device. The self-priming pump usually has a special pump chamber structure, so that it can maintain the internal liquid filled state, so as to achieve continuous self-priming function.

When the gas density reaches the working range of the mechanical vacuum pump, it is extracted, thus gradually obtaining a high vacuum.
